Festival Dreria 2006 in Neapolis, eastern Crete

The Dreria 2006 are the cultural events organized by the Municipality of Neapoli. Neapolis is better known for the seaside villages of Sissi and Milatos, and the Lassithi Plateau in the Dikti range.

We have translated and reprinted the programme of events because it is important for smaller municipalities to organize such interesting events. Nearly all the municipalities of Crete put on cultural events in the summer. Unfortunately it is very difficult to get hold of their programmes in time, as they usually send press reports to Cretan newspapers at the last minute. The web presence of Cretan municipalities is also poor, with sites that are almost never brought up to date, and are therefore useless as a source of information.

NOTE. The events held in June and July have been omitted, as they will already have taken place when the current issue of the magazine comes out.
