The Cretans of Australia meet the Greek Ambassador

Recently the Cretans of Australia had an all-day meeting with the Greek Ambassador to Australia, Mr George Zois, in Canberra. During his visit they had the opportunity of discussing subjects of interest to Cretans and the activities of the Cretan Federation of Australia and New Zealand over the next few years, such as the Battle of Crete 2007 celebrations, teaching the History of the Battle of Crete in school, annual conferences and welcome programmes.

The delegation representatives were the Chairman of the Federation Mr Eleftherios Konstandakis, the Chairman of the Pancretan Association of Melbourne Mr Ioannis Nikolakakis, the Chairman of the Rethimnian Association “ARKADI” Mr Andonis Tsourladakis, the Chairman of the Cretan Brotherhood of Canberra Mr Dimitris Katheklakis and the Vice-Chairman of the Cretan Brotherhood of Canberra Mr Manolis Xenikakis.
