Speed trap detector driver arrested

A Heraklion resident stopped by police in a city suburb had an antiradar speed trap detector system in his car.

The young man had no insurance or any of the papers requested by the police, but he did have the machine on view, which emits a warning sound at radar speed traps.

The use of these devices has recently been prohibited, but they are easily bought abroad for 50 euros in countries where their sale is unrestricted.
