Chania Animal Welfare Association
in need of financial support

Noah’s Ark is a home for stray animals in the countryside outside Chania, near the village of Nerokourou. The association was set up in 2003 by animal lovers from Germany.

Today it houses 250 dogs and 30 cats, but is in desperate need of financial support as the money from Germany is drying up, probably due to the high cost of living and rising unemployment in Northern Europe.

The Chairman of the Association, Mrs Kostoula Dornbach Stoupi, would like to ask bakers and other shopkeepers to please provide food for the strays. If you think you can help, please call the association on 6973 505521. Any assistance will be gratefully received.
