Inconsiderate dog owners in Crete

Dog faeces has become an increasingly annoying problem in Cretan towns. Dog owners take their dogs for walk in the streets but forget to clean up after them. The inhabitants are disgusted at seeing pavements turned into canine lavatories and are unable to understand why the owners are so inconsiderate.

How hard can it be to take a small brush and a plastic bag with you when you walk the dog, to keep the town clean and people happy?
